 i wrote this well over a year ago, i believe. for karen, actually. i just didnt finish the last two lines until tonight-i had forgotten i wrote it. i was going through my myspace when i see this sitting there with me begging people to help me figure out the last two lines. anyway, its finished now, or as finished as its going to get.

 

tears trickle down my face
whats happened cannot be true
but God has found it is his place
to seperate us from you

and i still just do not understand why
you leaving had to be
but maybe now you can touch the sky
be happy and be free

and i wish that i was with you
to guide every step you take
as much as i want this to be true
its not my journey to take

i've been left behind to wonder
if you really are okay
maybe this is Gods blunder
and you werent meant to go away

But in the end it is I who am wrong
and Gods verdict cant be swayed
So tonight i sit and write this sort of song
and hope my pain will fade


but this ache will be persistent
as its been for many before
because you had made your imprint
before walking out the door

I have been told I lost you
that you are no where to be found
but i know just where to find you
in that paradise above ground

and one day i will follow
though i cannot come just yet
i know this is hard to swallow
but i will be there dont you fret

once my chore of life is done
and i leave this world one day
we will have all of the fun
that we didnt when you went away

so watch over me until then
see my laughter, hear my cries
it will seem only a moment when
i can finally watch my angels fly.

its been a long while since i put anything up. this is about, hm, a year old now? i absolutely hate the first line. i just do. but it applies to the person i was writing about. so it stays, for now. anyhow, here you are.
